hatten die nicht gerade erst MB Klein (in den USA) übernommen ?

Ja, hatten sie... vielleicht emigrieren die EigentümerInnen in die USA?

Schade, ich hatte eher gehofft, mit ihnen einen weiteren, ggf. günstigen Versender für US-Material in Europa (wenn auch nicht EU, aber Porto war trotzdem deutlich günstiger) zu haben...

Wir werden sehen, was daraus wird.

kaufe in letzter Zeit viel in GB ein, und ärgere mich grün und blau über den vertrottelten Brexit. Die Kollegen in England aber noch viel mehr. Die hocken jetzt auf ihrer verregneten Insel und sind nur noch von Ausland umgeben.

angeblich wolln sie von Nebraska aus unter dem Namen M.B.Klein weitermachen. Das bisherige Lager von Klein ist schon geschlossen.

Hattons hat Bachmann verloren; man hat sich mit B. einvernehmlich geeinigt, B. dass B. Hattons nicht mehr beliefert, da beide sie ein Modell der selben Lok produzierten - was offensichtlich ein No-Go ist. Damit ist ein beträchtlicher Teil des Umsatzes in England weggefallen, und wer B. Produkte woanders kauft, bezieht halt dann anderes auch dort.

Der Handel mit der EU hat dann durch die neue politische Situation natürlich auch stark gelitten.

Ich denke, dass weniger die bisherigen Hattons Kunden angesprochen werden sollen, sondern eher das Geschäft von MBK weitergeführt werden soll - wenn man ein paar Hattons Kunden mitnehmen kann, auch gut. Für internationale Kunden ists ja egal, ob sie für Ware aus den Nebraska oder Manchester Zoll zahlen.

Was von Seiten Kleins dahinter steckt, hab ich mir nicht die Mühe gemacht zu erforschen

Das versucht die EU seit Juli 2021 unter dem Namen IOSS - Import One Stop Shop - als Standard zu implementieren. (Fifer hätte mir mal beinahe eine Bestellung storniert, weil sie irgendwie aufgefordert wurden, sich bei der EU oder dem deutschen Zoll zu registrieren, um EUSt abzuführen, und das wäre ihnen zu viel Aufwand gewesen). Aber die normale Postverzollung geht auch noch.

Mit MB Klein verschwindet ein ganz großer Player

Für mich wirklich ungemütlich da ich seit Jahren eigentlich exklusiv dort einkaufe.

Hab mich schon gewundert als sie vor ca. einem Monat das Buyers Rewards Programm gecancelt haben

Habe dazu mal was in einem anderen Forum gefunden:

MB Klein scheint nicht zu verschwinden. Siehe folgenden Text, der bei FB gepostet wurde. Angeblich sollen sogar die Reward Punkte weiter leben. Schon interessant, einmal alles platt zu machen um es dann wiederzubeleben. Ob es da wirklich keinen besseren Weg gab. Auf der Seite wird auch ein Comeback angekündigt.

eigentlich hätte ich die mail auch erhalten sollen, nachdem ich sowohl von MB Klein aus auch von Factory Direct Whatever regelmäßig Werbemails bekomme - oder ?

wieauchimmer: die Chancen, dass ich da jemals wieder was bestellen werde, sind recht gering und hängen vom jeweiligen Angebot ab...
